Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Expert Admissions Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Admissions and Recruitment department, you will be responsible for adjudicating applications for undergraduate and professional programs, ensuring compliance with admission policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admissions Evaluation: Determine candidates' eligibility based on admission requirements and policies, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation process.
  • Scholarship and Transfer Credit Management: Award scholarships and transfer credits to eligible candidates, promoting academic excellence and diversity.
  • International Admissions: Adjudicate the admissibility of applicants from various educational systems, ensuring compliance with international admission policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor colleagues on international policies and document validation, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Candidate Counselling: Counsel students on admission processes and prerequisites, providing guidance and support throughout the application process.
  • Policy Development: Participate in the development of institutional admission policies, ensuring alignment with university goals and objectives.
  • Special Cases: Prepare special cases for review by the Faculty Admissions Committee, ensuring a thorough and fair evaluation process.
  • Research and Development: Research and stay up-to-date on educational curricula, ensuring the university's admission policies remain current and effective.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce reports on admission policies to meet enrollment targets, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Representation: Represent the Admissions and Recruitment department at recruitment activities, promoting the university's brand and values.
  • System Configuration: Configure decisions in the Student Information System (SIS) for application evaluations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in testing new admission-related functions in the SIS, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
  • Special Projects: Undertake special projects and related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree completion (or equivalent education and experience)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a university admissions office
  • Leadership Experience: 2 years of project leadership experience
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; empathy and firm decision-making; knowledge of national and international education systems; computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to handle sensitive and confidential material; experience in administrative writing and communication; willingness to travel domestically and abroad
