Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Case Coordinator I to join our Occupational Health & Safety Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, while also promoting a culture of inclusivity and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee absences due to non-complex illness or injury, ensuring timely and effective return to work
  • Collaborate with Senior Disability Case Coordinators to develop and implement disability management plans
  • Provide guidance and support to management and union representatives on workplace accommodations and return to work processes
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative requirements and industry best practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Perform administrative and communication duties, as required

Requirements

  • Completion of or actively enrolled in attaining credentials in Disability Management and/or Occupational Health and Safety
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in complex disability management, return to work planning, and WSIB injury/illness claims
  • Strong understanding of principles of duty to accommodate, health and safety legislation, and HOODIP
