About the Role

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Disability Case Coordinator I to join our Occupational Health & Safety Department. As an integral member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee absences due to non-complex illness or injury, ensuring timely and effective return to work.
  • Collaborate with Senior Disability Case Coordinators to employ disability management principles, promoting early and safe return to work.
  • Communicate with management and union representatives to advise on appropriate job placements.
  • Perform administrative and communication responsibilities, ensuring seamless coordination with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by remaining proactive in legislative compliance.

Requirements

  • Completion of or enrollment in Disability Management and/or Occupational Health and Safety credentials.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in complex disability management, return to work planning, WSIB injury/illness claims, and unionized environments.
  • CDMP designation or in pursuit.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation, HOODIP, and duty to accommodate principles.
