Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Case Coordinator I to join our Occupational Health & Safety Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, while also promoting a culture of inclusivity and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee absences due to non-complex illness or injury, ensuring timely and effective return to work.
- Collaborate with Senior Disability Case Coordinators to develop and implement disability management strategies.
- Provide expert advice on workplace accommodations and health and safety legislation.
- Communicate effectively with management, union representatives, and employees to ensure seamless return to work processes.
- Perform administrative duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Completion of or actively enrolled in attaining credentials in Disability Management and/or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in complex disability management, return to work planning, and WSIB injury/illness claims.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation, including the duty to accommodate.
