Your Role at Arc'teryx: As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the essential link between Technology and a diverse team of engineers, leaders, internal stakeholders, and other experts to provide an exceptional experience for our guests at scale. You will guide our team by gathering and evaluating requirements for features and enhancements related to guest experiences on the product roadmap. Furthermore, you will promote collaboration between business and technical teams and document business processes and systems along with their integration. Meet Your Future Team: The Guest Services Technology team at Arc'teryx is dedicated to establishing a benchmark in the outdoor industry as leading technology partners and specialists. In partnership with our internal collaborators, we design and develop guest service experiences that empower our agents to deliver top-tier customer service. You will be part of a small yet impactful team that interacts with various departments across Arc'teryx. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud application. We are organized into squads that include developers, administrators, quality analysts, business analysts, and product managers. Our work involves close collaboration with multiple teams, including Infrastructure, Marketing, Brand, Analytics, and Operations.

Core Responsibilities as a Business Analyst:

  • Leading the exploration of our Loyalty program by gathering requirements through effective business analysis techniques.
  • Fostering empathy for the guest/end-user by applying Human Centered Design principles and guest journey mapping.
  • Managing a continuous flow of feature backlog while aligning with product strategy.
  • Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a liaison between them and the development squad.
  • Facilitating and managing stakeholder expectations and engagement.
  • Translating business needs into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents.
  • Collaborating effectively by building strong relationships with various cross-functional teams within the technology department and across the business.
  • Creating clear visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for different target audiences.
  • Documenting comprehensive user stories, process flows, systems diagrams, and acceptance criteria for business process reviews, systems architecture, web development, quality assurance, and change management.
  • Working with stakeholders and the development squad to plan, groom, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure focus on features that align with business priorities.
  • Organizing and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users.
  • Supporting the testing and validation of system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver the desired user outcomes.
  • Identifying and documenting current and future business processes, changes, and improvements to facilitate change management.
  • Maintaining process and system documentation as business and systems evolve.

Future Opportunities:

  • Developing, updating, and sharing your extensive knowledge of business areas and technologies within the Business Analysts chapter and Agile squads.
  • Preparing and coordinating system changes for releases, organizing and leading product demonstration sessions, and coordinating user training on Agile methodologies.
  • Consulting with Digital Marketing business teams on vendor selection and future technologies.
  • Assisting the Technology leadership team with additional tasks and projects as needed.

Are You Our Next Business Analyst?

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, working on Agile projects related to e-commerce, retail, and omni-channel.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a dynamic, iterative development environment, with the ability to quickly absorb new information and adapt existing knowledge.
  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects forward with a commitment to finding the best solutions.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, thoroughly investigating problems to uncover what truly matters.
  • A passion for your work that aligns with a love for the outdoors.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), customer data analytics, and their interactions would be advantageous.
  • Experience with loyalty programs would be a strong asset.
  • A track record of working with teams that have developed and launched loyalty products and features that resonate with customers would be beneficial.
  • Experience in the Outdoor Apparel or Retail industry would be an asset.
  • Experience with web development would be a plus.
  • Experience with new vendor integrations would be advantageous.
