Your Role at Arc'teryx: As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the vital link between Technology and a diverse team of engineers, leaders, internal stakeholders, and various subject matter experts to provide an exceptional experience for our guests at scale. You will guide our team by gathering and evaluating requirements for features and enhancements to guest experiences on the product roadmap. Furthermore, you will foster collaboration between business and technical teams while documenting business processes and systems integration. Meet Your Future Team: The Guest Services Technology team at Arc'teryx strives to set the benchmark in the outdoor industry as leading technology partners and specialists. In partnership with our internal collaborators, we design and develop guest service experiences that empower our agents to deliver outstanding customer service. You will be part of a small yet impactful team that engages with multiple departments across Arc'teryx. The team is tasked with the development and maintenance of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud application. We are organized into squads comprising developers, administrators, quality analysts, business analysts, and product managers. Our collaborative efforts extend to various teams, including Infrastructure, Marketing, Brand, Analytics, and Operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leading the exploration of our Loyalty program by gathering requirements through effective business analysis techniques.
  • Fostering empathy for the guest/end-user by applying Human Centered Design principles and guest journey mapping.
  • Managing a continuous flow of feature backlog while aligning with product strategy.
  • Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a liaison between them and the development squad.
  • Facilitating and managing stakeholder expectations and engagement.
  • Translating business needs into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents.
  • Building strong relationships with various cross-functional teams within the technology department and across the business for effective collaboration.
  • Creating clear visual representations to convey complex concepts and models to diverse audiences.
  • Documenting detailed user stories, process flows, systems diagrams, and acceptance criteria for business process reviews, systems architecture, web development, quality assurance, and change management.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and the development squad to plan, groom, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring focus on features that align with business priorities.
  • Organizing and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users.
  • Supporting the testing and validation of system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and achieve desired user outcomes.
  • Identifying and documenting current and future business processes, changes, and improvements to support change management.
  • Maintaining process and system documentation as business and systems evolve.

Future Opportunities:

  • Developing, updating, and sharing your extensive knowledge of business areas and technologies within the Business Analysts chapter and Agile squads.
  • Preparing and coordinating system changes for releases, leading product demo sessions, and organizing user training on Agile methodologies.
  • Advising the Digital Marketing business teams on vendor selection and future technologies.
  • Assisting the Technology leadership team with additional tasks and projects as required.

Are You Our Next Business Analyst?

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, focusing on Agile projects related to e-commerce, retail, and omni-channel.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a dynamic, iterative development environment. You must be able to quickly absorb new information, adapt existing knowledge, and thrive in a changing environment to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, articulating and documenting concepts, business processes, systems, and requirements efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. You enjoy delving into details and understanding the "how" and "why" of issues.
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative to drive projects forward while seeking optimal solutions with a commitment to doing what is right.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, thoroughly investigating every problem until you uncover what truly matters.
  • A passion for your work that mirrors your enthusiasm for outdoor activities.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), customer data analytics, and their interactions would be advantageous.
  • Experience with loyalty programs would be a significant asset.
  • A proven track record of collaborating with teams that have developed and launched loyalty products and features that resonate with customers would be beneficial.
  • Experience in the (Outdoor) Apparel or Retail industry would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with web development would be an asset.
  • Experience with new vendor integrations would be advantageous.

Compensation: CAD$80,000 - CAD$100,000 annually. Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training. Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits.
