Position: Lead Business Analyst for Enterprise Initiatives

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Business Analyst to contribute to our Enterprise Projects Team at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group.

In this pivotal role, you will facilitate business transformation by engaging in significant strategic initiatives across the organization.

Our work environment is hybrid, combining both in-office and remote workdays throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business readiness efforts, including workflow evaluations, impact assessments, and solution analyses to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive requirements specifications, conduct feasibility assessments, create high-level and detailed business models, and prepare business cases.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of solutions, considering all implications to systems.
  • Lead assessments to accurately evaluate current and future states, assess risks, and define effective change strategies.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine project value.
  • Liaise and coordinate with various project streams and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • In the absence of an assigned project manager, assume project management responsibilities, including creating project plans, managing resources, and monitoring project performance.
  • Guide ongoing business analysis methodologies and governance to ensure that business objectives are met across various program streams.
  • Provide support to operational staff through coaching and modeling key behaviors and strategies; enhance business analysis skills throughout the organization through continuous mentoring on best practices and frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Experience supporting large-scale business and technology transformation projects from inception to implementation, with a proven ability to provide leadership and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in developing budget and forecasting models that inform business decisions.
  • Familiarity with leading financial industry software such as SS&C, Simcorp, and Eagle Accounting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business analysis frameworks and the project management lifecycle.
  • A disciplined and consistent approach to business analysis, ensuring attention to detail while maintaining a broader perspective.
  • Proven ability to build successful relationships at all organizational levels; a passion for business analysis and a strong grasp of industry best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities and senior-level business documentation skills.
  • Experience with the Engage Process mapping tool is an asset.
  • Possession of a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) designation is advantageous.
