POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Instructor is pivotal in guiding and fostering the academic achievements of students while contributing to the institution's mission. Under general supervision, the Instructor is tasked with delivering high-quality education and facilitating student engagement in accordance with the established curriculum. Specifically, the Bilingual – Networking (IT) Instructor will undertake the following responsibilities:
  • Delivering lessons that align with module and program objectives as outlined in the curriculum.
  • Assessing student performance with fairness and consistency.
  • Participating in the development of curriculum and instructional resources.
  • Assisting with administrative duties to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Upholding the standards of the institution through professional conduct.
  • Engaging in college and program-related activities.
  • Monitoring and evaluating students during practical placements as required by the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree or diploma from an accredited university or college in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a related industry.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, and core Microsoft Certified IT Professional specializations.
  • A credential in adult education or progress towards one from an accredited institution, along with teaching experience, is preferred.
  • Meeting specific qualifications as defined in program design and approval for course instruction.

  • Proficient industry knowledge and skills related to the instructional area, including ongoing professional development.
  • Interest in diverse pedagogical approaches is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, including skills in presentation and group facilitation.
  • Capability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to high standards of professionalism and quality service.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow instructors and staff.
  • Capacity to consider and respond to the needs and capabilities of students, providing equitable feedback.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize technology to enhance the educational experience.
