POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Instructor is to guide and enhance the academic achievements of students while contributing to the College's mission. Under general supervision, the Instructor is accountable for delivering high-quality education and facilitating student learning in accordance with the established curriculum. Specifically, the Bilingual – Networking (IT) Instructor will undertake the following responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction that aligns with module and program goals as outlined in the curriculum.
  • Assess student performance in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Assist in the creation of curriculum and educational materials.
  • Support campus administrative functions to improve the student experience.
  • Exemplify the College's standards in all actions.
  • Engage in College and Program activities.
  • Supervise and evaluate students during practicum and/or clinical placements as required by the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree or diploma from an accredited University or College in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related area.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Possession of industry-specific certifications such as CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, and core Microsoft Certified IT Professional specializations.
  • A credential in adult education or progress towards one from an accredited institution, along with teaching experience, is preferred.
  • Meet specific qualifications as required by program design and approval for course instruction.

  • Possess relevant industry knowledge and skills related to the area of instruction, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Interest in diverse pedagogical and multi-modal educational strategies is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation and group facilitation.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Maintain high standards of conduct, professionalism, and dedication to quality service.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow instructors and staff.
  • Respond appropriately to the needs and capabilities of students, providing equitable feedback.
  • Utilize technology to enhance the educational experience for students.
