Description: The Swimming Instructor is responsible for teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages, from infants to adults, while ensuring a safe environment during pool activities.

Service Mission: The Culture, Sports, Leisure, and Community Development Service is dedicated to improving the quality of life by fostering accessibility, active engagement, and the inclusion of all community members through outstanding cultural, sports, and recreational offerings.

General Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Maintain the safety of all participants
  • Execute emergency procedures and evacuation plans when necessary
  • Assess student progress in accordance with established aquatic programs
  • Engage with parents and guardians as required
  • Attend and contribute to professional development sessions

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 17 years
  • Possess a valid National Lifeguard certification
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with youth
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
