  4. Cultivate a personal brand rooted in your expertise and enthusiasm.
  5. Engage with a variety of client groups across public and private sectors, including Indigenous Governing Bodies, community organizations, local authorities, and various levels of government.
  6. Consult directly with community leaders and Rights and Title Holders, funding partners, and design and construction professionals to strategize and execute capital building and infrastructure projects.
  7. Assist Indigenous communities and local authorities in fostering economic growth through strategic land planning and development initiatives.
  8. Aid Indigenous communities and local authorities in emergency preparedness and recovery from climate-related events.
  9. Establish yourself as a valued and trusted team member and a subject matter expert in contractual matters.
  10. Oversee project setup, initiation, execution, monitoring, reporting, closure, and commissioning.
  11. Lead and coordinate project teams towards shared objectives, defining authority levels and communication channels.
  12. Provide project status updates through progress reports, meeting notes, and other documentation.
  13. Facilitate project and site meetings.
  14. Utilize your communication skills and eagerness to learn to grasp complex technical terminology.
  15. Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, responding to new business opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal, or Regional Vice President.
  16. Earn your clients' trust as they rely on your knowledge, skills, and expertise to meet their business goals.
  17. Impress your clients with your ability to advocate for their best interests regarding contractual and technical challenges.
  18. Your project teams depend on your capability to manage change, communicate effectively, and coordinate among multiple partners and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in capital projects.
  2. A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or construction management (or an equivalent qualification).
  3. Demonstrate company values and cultural principles.
  4. Advanced knowledge of Project Management methodologies and experience in a PMO environment.
  5. Familiarity with building codes, contracts, regulations, construction administration, and ethical standards.
  6. In-depth understanding of various design and construction methodologies, project management frameworks, financial management, contract law, and relevant legislation.
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  8. Strong client and people management abilities, coupled with the capacity to influence others and effectively resolve a range of commercial, interpersonal, client, and technical issues.
  9. Proven ability to foster harmonious relationships with both internal and external project team members.
  10. Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, RA, or similar recognized designations.
  11. Preference for candidates with experience working respectfully in cross-cultural environments, particularly in building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities.

What you can expect:
