Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visually inspecting tools and machinery.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related tasks.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Perform repairs on landscaping and external sprinkler systems.
  • Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred.
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to work at heights and in confined spaces. The successful candidate will also be required to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
