Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and attend to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and provide excellent customer service
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan
- Conduct regular visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
- Locate and operate shut-off valves for equipment to ensure safe and efficient maintenance
- Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked and organized inventory
- Display a strong understanding of various trades, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and more
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping to maintain the hotel's appearance and safety
- Adhere to company and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in general maintenance and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is highly desirable
Required Qualifications
- License or Certification: Valid Driver's License
- Pay range: $21.01 per hour
