Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Château de Mercuès. As a key member of our dining room team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Supervise and train dining room staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service.
  • Plan and implement effective training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure the physical appearance of the dining room area and workstations meets the highest standards.
  • Supervise the scheduling and assignment of tasks to dining room staff, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of team member attendance, reservations, and incident reports.
  • Assist team members on the floor as needed, providing support and guidance to ensure exceptional service.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a food and beverage role, with 2+ years in a similar position.
  • Thorough knowledge of fine dining service procedures and functions.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and wine pairing.
  • Supervisory experience in front-of-house operations within a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment.
  • Smart Serve certification required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, peers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
