Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to enhance our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing critical repairs on machinery for our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lifting equipment as per customer requirements.
  • Assess the operational integrity and condition of machinery.
  • Identify defective mechanical or electrical components, communicate findings, and implement repair solutions.
  • Utilize technical manuals to diagnose issues and order necessary parts.
  • Document and analyze equipment breakdowns following established procedures.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in battery and engine-powered material handling equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, measuring devices, and electrical/electronic diagnostics.
  • Experience with industrial equipment involving lifting and rigging.
  • Ability to maintain, disassemble, and install machinery and mechanical service equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's certification, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills with both customers and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Ability to pass a clearance screening process for access to Federal Government facilities.
