About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team at Newtech Appliance LTD. As an Appliance Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical appliances and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting Tests and Diagnoses

You will conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests using electrical test equipment to diagnose faults in appliances.

Preparing Estimates and Repairing Parts

You will prepare written estimates of repair costs and refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.

Repairing and Replacing Components

You will repair electrical appliances and components, and replace faulty components as needed.

Providing Customer Service

You will advise customers on work performed and the condition of their equipment.

Operating Shop Equipment

You will use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust, and reprogram appliances.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

You must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The role is physically demanding and requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Work Schedule

You will work 35 to 40 hours per week.
