About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry Supervisor to join our team at Oak & Stone Constructions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our carpentry crew and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to carpentry crew members, ensuring they have the necessary tools, equipment, and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines, including setting up equipment, requisitioning materials, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work meets quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and arrange for training or coaching to enhance crew members' skills and knowledge.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met and expectations are managed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.
