About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing medical devices to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical device reprocessing, with experience in instrumentation, medical knowledge, and terminology. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing cleaning and sterilizing duties to meet departmental customer needs
  • Reprocessing medical devices, including scopes and other equipment
  • Following policies and procedures for the service, including rotation throughout decontamination, processing, and distribution areas
  • Making up and distributing case carts and other sterile items to internal and external partners
  • Additional duties as assigned by the manager

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.79 - $24.68 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
