Position Overview

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis plays a crucial role in collaborating with project managers and the business development team to create financial forecasts and plans. This position is pivotal in analyzing operational outcomes to gain insights into company performance and to evaluate project and functional area effectiveness at a corporate level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project management to maintain rolling 12-month revenue forecasts for resource allocation and corporate budgeting processes.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly summary reports for functional areas, including forecasted revenue, capacity, and utilization metrics.
  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecast, summarizing findings for project management leadership.
  • Work alongside the business development team to establish monthly reporting that tracks pipeline metrics, win/loss analysis, and revenue forecasts, providing insights into sales performance and early visibility into revenue trends.
  • Provide ad hoc business reporting as needed.
  • Engage with Finance colleagues to support overall departmental objectives.
  • Participate in initiatives to develop new procedures and systems aimed at enhancing workflows and driving efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in financial software, corporate finance, budget tracking, and performance management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on customer service and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts in accessible terms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong capabilities in Word and PowerPoint.
