Job Description

Financial Planning and Analysis Consultant

This is a 12-month contract opportunity reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and/or lead key activity streams related to TCI's short, mid, and long-term planning cycles, including overall consolidation of TCI's financial story for presentation to senior management and shareholders.
  • Assist with forward-looking financial analysis that enables decision-making in support of the changing needs of the business.
  • Lead FP&A team and business partners through TCI's budgeting, forecasting, and general planning processes.
  • Set planning timelines and establish deliverables.
  • Actively work with management to inform and provide analytics and create or maintain key financial models to support scenario modeling and what-if analysis.
  • Provide efficient translation of financial data to business information for transparency, meaningful reporting & advice.
  • Continuously challenge business areas for fiscal responsibility to mitigate financial risks.

Requirements:

  • University degree/College diploma in Business/Accounting.
  • ~ 4+ years of financial work experience (including financial budgeting, planning, reporting, and analysis experience).
  • ~ Previous experience supervising other team members is an asset.
  • ~ Experience with financial modeling & consolidation (experience within planning software i.e. Hyperion, SAP/BPC).
  • ~ ERP system experience coupled with Financial Reporting tools (SAP experience preferred).
  • ~ Intermediate/Advanced Excel.
  • ~ Experience partnering with the business including at senior levels.
  • ~ Excellent coaching/mentoring, and team building skills.
