Key Responsibilities...

As a vital member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, our Advisors are dedicated to delivering outstanding service throughout the customer experience by:

  • Managing a designated portfolio of high-value and/or intricate small business owner relationships to ensure retention and meet established objectives while adhering to Scotiabank's Service Standards.
  • Establishing a robust presence within the local business landscape by fostering connections with various Centers of Influence.
  • Actively engaging with both new and existing clients to cultivate strong, lasting relationships and provide comprehensive guidance, empowering them to develop thriving businesses.
  • Collaborating with fellow advisors to create a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications...

  • A results-driven mindset with a solid understanding of the small business sector, including the features and advantages of small business products and services, as well as knowledge of financial statements, relevant risk management policies, and legal documentation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business development strategies and familiarity with small business legal frameworks, competitive offerings, and alternative financing sources.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a passion for networking and collaborating with others.
  • A background in a business-related field or equivalent experience as a small business owner.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle.
