GardaWorld Cash, a leading security company, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join its Cash Transportation division.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for leading a team of employees on the night shift, Sunday to Thursday.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees on the night shift;
- Engage and motivate team members to achieve their full potential;
- Plan, organize, and manage the work of unionized employees;
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety rules, collective agreements, and government regulations;
- Act as a resource person for all employees in the assigned territory;
- Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to establish and implement policies, procedures, and objectives;
- Promote safe work practices by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings, and meeting one-on-one with staff members;
- Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets;
- Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints;
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transport and improve safety procedures;
- Participate in the disciplinary process or the settlement of grievances;
- All other related tasks.
Your Ideal Profile
- Valid Restricted and Non-Restricted Federal Firearms License (PAL: Possession and Acquisitions License)
- Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience in a unionized environment;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams;
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record;
- Possession of a firearm license (an asset) or willingness to obtain one;
- Very good leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and judgment skills;
- Strong focus on teamwork and partnership;
- Sense of urgency, exceptional communication, and problem-solving skills;
- Critical thinking and active listening skills.
