Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at CA09 Labatt Brewing Company Limited. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of our fleet operation in Ontario, ensuring all T1 and T2 fleet transport requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily fleet operations, including creating and posting shipping logs, assigning drivers to daily activities, and ensuring all transport requirements are met.
  • Lead and manage a team of drivers, using coaching and progressive discipline as required to ensure behavioral, performance, and safety expectations are met.
  • Manage third-party carrier operations for loads originating in Ontario, including load tendering, load follow-up, and performance monitoring.
  • Support Brewery Operations, ensuring transport requirements are met, empty bottle requirements are met, and full goods shipments are picked up and delivered where required.
  • Continuously manage cost and look for opportunities to improve across the entire transport network.
  • Proactively lead and execute safety and environmental programs within all staging facilities to ensure a safe and productive working environment for all employees.
  • Shift management of union/management processes and relationships within the warehouse/staging facilities, providing coaching, leadership, development, and performance management to team members.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a business or industry-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an operations facility with direct supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
  • Proven ability to manage transport operations in a high-volume environment, including leadership of a large hourly workforce.
  • Strong leadership skills, technical skills, and a reputation as a leader of change.
  • Excellent computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
