Key Responsibilities

The Vendor Relationship Manager will establish, nurture, and sustain effective partnerships with IT suppliers and internal teams. These collaborations will serve as a foundation for negotiating optimal product values, acquisitions, and services that align with the organization's operational and strategic goals. This role demands exceptional relationship management capabilities, coordination across various organizational functions, and oversight of potential risks and challenges, acting as a liaison with stakeholders at all levels within and outside the company. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in vendor management, including operations, contracts, finance, sales, marketing, performance, relationship, and risk management, along with significant experience in fostering relationships with IT suppliers.

Specific Duties

Business Partner Strategy & Planning

  • Formulate, implement, manage, and regularly update the business strategy for assigned partners
  • Acknowledge the distinct needs of our business and the diverse markets we cater to
  • Collaborate closely with the vendor channel community and sales teams to develop highly sought-after solutions for target markets
  • Execute strategies across various market routes, segments, and product lines
  • Serve as the primary liaison with counterparts for effective planning and communication
  • Track and report on sales, margins, supplier reimbursements, and performance metrics related to assigned categories, including feedback on partners and competitors

Quarterly Business Governance

  • Assess business changes and initiate programs to enhance competitiveness and growth
  • Provide insights to the leadership team
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Collaborate with operations teams to identify system requirements and process needs in support of overarching objectives

Partner Investment

  • Raise awareness of the Insight value proposition and marketing initiatives among partners
  • Establish partner-specific priorities and secure approvals for marketing development fund (MDF) investments
  • Oversee the Partner MDF program
  • Ensure proper documentation for payment processing to Insight
  • Consolidate data sources to provide weekly updates on supplier reimbursements
  • Analyze financial benefits and deliver monthly reports to management
  • Recommend and negotiate promotional pricing, special purchases, and event-related expenses
  • Assist in resolving vendor payment discrepancies effectively

Training & Enablement

  • Facilitate internal and external training on new product introductions, refreshers, and ongoing development initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in partner management or vendor relations
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and lead in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in B2B e-commerce or distribution is advantageous
  • Sales or marketing experience specifically related to vendor solutions
  • Proficient understanding of performance metrics
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual capabilities are a significant asset
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively within teams
