Job Overview

Salary Range - $50,000-$60,000

As a Customer Relationship Manager at EMCO Corporation, your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients predominantly through phone and email communications. Your goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, driving sales and achieving or surpassing sales and gross profit objectives to enhance profit sharing while fostering enduring and loyal customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales orders and convert quotations into orders through client interactions, mainly via phone.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with established key accounts, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to enhance relationships with current customers and expand market share.
  • Act as a project coordinator for significant projects when necessary, including maintaining detailed records of lead times and providing updates to clients.
  • Identify and develop new customer opportunities through proactive calling campaigns.
  • Achieve or exceed the Profit Centre's gross profit and sales goals.
  • Support counter sales during peak periods and continue to drive business through direct customer interactions.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, including pricing discrepancies and product returns.
  • Expedite customer materials with suppliers as needed.
  • Follow up with clients regarding quotes and pending orders.
  • Assist the Outside Sales and Counter Teams with customer orders and inquiries.
  • Play a vital role in supporting all activities at the Profit Centre.
  • Inform the Profit Centre Manager and Credit Department of any changes in a customer's business that may pose a credit risk.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager.

Qualifications:

  • College and/or University degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales/contractor experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional customer service and telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to identify new customer prospects and grow sales with existing accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; capable of multitasking and managing various deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide profitable solutions to close sales.
  • Capable of learning and utilizing the software systems required for order processing.
  • Intermediate math skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience or knowledge of plumbing and building products.
  • Familiarity with Trend and Eclipse software.
