About the Role

Cornelius Flooring is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as needed.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut underlay, underpadding, and flooring materials to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for clients, including estimates of costs and materials required.
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to ensure a smooth and successful installation.
  • Perform Direct Glue-Down Carpet Installations: Perform direct glue-down carpet installations to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
Work Environment

Cornelius Flooring operates in a fast-paced commercial and residential environment. As a Floor Covering Installer, you will be working in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Conditions: The role requires working in a dusty environment and being able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
  • Personal Suitability: The ideal candidate will have excellent client focus, be highly organized, and have a strong work ethic.
