Job Overview

Join our team at CORNELIUS FLOORING as a dedicated Floor Covering Installer. We are looking for skilled individuals who can deliver high-quality flooring solutions in both commercial and residential settings.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in flooring installation.
Work Environment

The role involves working in a dusty environment, requiring physical stamina and the ability to handle various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces for flooring installation.
  • Measure, cut, and secure underlay and underpadding.
  • Develop flooring plans and manage scheduling.
  • Measure, cut, and install carpets on floors.
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations.
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
  • Prepare and install hardwood flooring.
  • Inspect and repair any damaged floor coverings.
  • Estimate costs and materials needed for projects.
  • Prepare floors for installation.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
Physical Demands

This position is physically demanding and requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.
