About the Role

Cornelius Flooring is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a solid foundation for flooring installations
  • Prepare detailed flooring plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient installations
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to maintain the integrity of our installations
  • Estimate costs and materials for each project, ensuring accurate pricing and efficient use of resources
  • Prepare floors for installations, removing existing floor coverings and contaminants as needed
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent client focus and organizational skills
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week in a commercial and residential setting
