About the Role

Cornelius Flooring is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a solid foundation for flooring installations.
  • Prepare detailed flooring plans and schedules to ensure timely and efficient installations.
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to maintain the integrity of our installations.
  • Estimate costs and materials for each project, ensuring accurate pricing and efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations with precision and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Excellent client focus and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Availability to work 30 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing project schedules.
