About the Role

Cornelius Flooring is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and markings.
  • Prepare and Install underlay, underpadding, and flooring materials, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials for each project, ensuring accurate quotes and efficient use of resources.
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings and contaminants, preparing surfaces for new installations.
  • Perform Direct Glue-Down Carpet Installations, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Collaborate with Clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the installation process.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Environment: You will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential locations, with exposure to dust and other environmental factors.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role, with occasional communication with clients and colleagues in other languages.
