Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Banquet Attendant (Porter) who shares our commitment to excellence and brings enthusiasm to every task.

Key Responsibilities:

The Banquet Attendant is a vital member of the Food & Beverage team focused on delivering exceptional quality and service to our guests. Our Banquets Department is engaged in planning, setting up, executing events, and breaking down the room, ensuring events can be repeated the next day or even the next hour. Responsibilities include arranging the setup of tables and chairs, providing meeting materials and flipcharts, and maintaining cleanliness through cleaning and vacuuming. The Banquet Attendant is involved in every detail.

Qualifications:

We seek individuals with a keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic. This role involves direct interaction with guests, necessitating good communication skills.

Due to the nature of this position, the Banquet Attendant must have a high level of physical mobility. The ability to stand for the majority of the shift and lift up to 80lbs is essential. A positive attitude and a proactive approach to tasks are crucial. This position requires availability on an on-call, casual basis.

Smart Serve certification is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

2 years of prior experience as a Banquet Attendant in a fast-paced Food and Beverage environment Strong communication skills, proficiency in the English language, and personal confidence Proficiency in additional languages is a definite asset for career advancement
