Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Boston Pizza. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and supervise staff to ensure excellent customer service and a positive dining experience.
  • Balance and deposit cash, manage cash handling and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Liaise between chefs and customers to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
  • Inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer customer questions regarding menu items and preparation methods.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs and ensure their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable.
  • Attend to seating arrangements for large groups and ensure timely seating.
  • Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome.
  • Perform opening and closing activities, including preparing the dining area for service and cleaning up after hours.
  • Receive customer reservations and assign tables accordingly.
  • Receive payments from customers and process transactions efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Physical demands of the job include walking, standing, and lifting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Will train.
