About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to lead our Produce and Fresh Foods department at Atlantic Superstore. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of produce and fresh food programs, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Lead and develop a team of associates to achieve sales and profitability goals, while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless store operations and achieve store-wide goals.
  • Monitor and control departmental expenses, and assist in budget preparation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the department remains competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop associates.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
