The Role

We are in search of a Robotics Software Engineer with a focus on trajectory and path planning for industrial robotic manipulators. This position is crucial for the development and implementation of our groundbreaking products. As an integral member of the Byte Code team, you will significantly influence the advancement of AI-driven robotics automation while working closely with our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Byte Code's multidisciplinary team of engineers to facilitate the development, testing, and deployment of AI models utilizing advanced DNN, CNN, and GNN architectures to enhance the cognitive capabilities of industrial robots and streamline their programming.
  • Conduct applied research in Robotics Welding, Inspection, Machining, and Assembly to collect data that supports the creation, training, auditing, and validation of physics-based AI models for robotic manufacturing processes.
  • Deliver training and support for Byte Code's innovative products.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their needs and challenges, ensuring the successful integration of AI-driven robotics software.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in developing testable software and implementing algorithms for industrial robots, with practical experience in real-world applications.
    • Solid understanding of fundamental industrial manipulator concepts: forward and inverse kinematics, Cartesian and joint trajectory planning, obstacle and singularity avoidance, and collision detection.
    • Proficiency in Python/C++ programming languages.
  • Experience:
    • Proven hands-on experience in designing, constructing, and deploying robotic systems across various applications.
    • Demonstrated experience in robotic software development.
    • Familiarity with robotic hardware components, sensors, and actuators, with the ability to seamlessly integrate them into AI-enhanced solutions.
  • System Integration:
    • Proven capability to incorporate AI models into robotic systems, ensuring effective collaboration between software and hardware components.
    • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging robotic systems, addressing integration, communication, and synchronization challenges.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Dedication to remaining informed about the latest advancements in AI and robotics through ongoing education and self-directed research.
    • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical findings, and articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience in a collaborative environment, contributing ideas, and actively participating in brainstorming sessions.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to identify challenges in applied robotics, propose innovative solutions, and implement enhancements to improve system performance.
    • Capability to conduct hands-on tests and experiments to gather data for analysis and optimization of AI algorithms in practical scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be advantageous:

  • Experience with additional technologies within the AI-powered robotics fabrication ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with robotics programming languages (RAPID, KAREL, KRL, URSCRIPT, etc.).
  • Background in Intelligent Robotics Controllers and knowledge of AI applications in industrial automation.
  • Understanding of basic machine learning and computer vision principles.

Education and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in Industrial Robotics Programming and Intelligent Robotics Controllers.
  • Background in Industrial Robotics, System Integration, or related technical fields.
