Our Robotics Group

Our SoftServe Robotics Group consists of 100+ professionals from Ukraine, Poland, Singapore, Bulgaria, and Mexico, and is still growing. The team is involved in scientific research, hardware and software engineering, product management, and marketing. Projects can vary, so you must enjoy working in a changing environment and taking on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop digital twins of real systems.
  2. Perform process modeling and optimization using advanced mathematical techniques.
  3. Implement complex control systems using model-based control (MPC, MHE, LQG, Kalman filtering, decentralized control system analysis).
  4. Design and develop solutions for various kinds of robotics systems, including automated robotic systems used to increase production and precision levels within a specific industry.
  5. Test robotics solutions both in simulation and in the real world.
  6. Perform regular research of the latest trends and modern approaches in the robotics domain (navigation, sensing, decision making, performance of robotic mechanism components or systems, etc.).

Requirements

  1. Expertise in Python programming, with at least 5 years of experience in software development.
  2. Holder of an MSc or degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Robotics, or a related field.
  3. Highly capable of understanding, developing, and implementing complex and efficient algorithms.
  4. Strong in mathematical optimization (NLP, QP, MILP).
  5. Familiar with AWS cloud services development.
  6. Aware of Unix (Linux) systems, Databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL).
  7. Having a deep understanding of testing, Continuous Integration, Build & Deployment, and monitoring of complex systems.
  8. A team player with great interpersonal and communication skills at the Upper-intermediate English level (both spoken and written).
  9. Highly attentive to details with strong analytical skills, mathematical foundation, and a problem-solving attitude.
  10. A technology enthusiast who enjoys expanding knowledge and sharing it with others.
  11. Confident with simulation techniques and with simulation and modeling frameworks like Matlab/Simulink, Mathematica, and Modelica (as a plus).
  12. Experienced with physics-based simulations like Gazebo, Nvidia Isaac, VREP, etc. (would be an advantage).
  13. Having proven experience in developing robotics systems and robotics frameworks ROS and ROS2, and experience with AI: computer vision, reinforcement learning, PINNs, etc. (nice-to-have).
