Senior Mechatronics Engineer

Electronics Expertise for Grocery Pick Hardware

Ocado Logistics is seeking a skilled Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Grocery Pick Hardware Team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing advanced robotic systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex robotic systems, working closely with software and AI teams
  • Own critical portions of new projects, including end-of-arm tooling and robotic system design
  • Collaborate with robotics software and platform teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Develop and deploy multilayer PCBs, with expertise in major EDA packages
  • Ensure electrical architecture meets product and project requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as an engineer in a related industry
  • Track record of full product lifecycle ownership, from ideation to mass production
  • Applicable skills in end effector design, industrial automation, or robotic work cells
  • Experience with analog electrical equipment and machine safety

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with machine safety standards and industrial automation
  • Experience with board level hardware interfaces and fieldbus technologies
