Job Title: Children's Pastor

At PAOC, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Pastor to lead our children's ministry team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the spiritual growth and development of our children.

Job Summary:

The Children's Pastor will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of age-appropriate programs and curriculum for children from birth to grade 8. This includes creating intentional pathways for the spiritual growth of children and their families, incorporating various elements such as large-group gatherings, small groups, events, and resources that assist families in their discipleship journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive children's ministry strategy that aligns with the overall vision of PAOC.
  • Lead a team of volunteers in building strong relationships with children, creating engaging and impactful experiences that nurture children's faith, and support families in their spiritual journey.
  • Collaborate with other ministry leaders to establish a unified approach to family ministry that aligns with the overall vision of the church.
  • Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of age-appropriate programs and curriculum tailored to children from birth to grade 8.
  • Provide relevant resources to families that would help them with their spiritual journey and engage them in discipleship beyond programs and events.
  • Connect and be present with community organizations and schools, building relationships and showing the love of Jesus by helping meet practical needs, and serving our broader community.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience leading, directing, and conducting a variety of teams.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to mobilize teams toward a common goal.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with children, parents, volunteers, and staff.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms and technology, with a keen understanding of how to leverage digital tools and resources to enhance family ministry experiences and effectively engage with families in a digital environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of software and programs used: Google Suites, Planning Center Online, Asana, Rise People.
