About the Role

As a Youth Services Manager, you will oversee daily operations and lead the implementation of rehabilitation programs and services within a secure care and detention facility. You will ensure that all programs, policies, and procedures reflect the Ministry's vision and comply with the standards of the Youth Justice Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff and coordinate operations to ensure the effective delivery of rehabilitation programs and services.
  • Contribute to the development of programs, policies, and procedures that support the Ministry's vision and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, legislation, and security protocols.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership and management skills to manage staff and promote team morale and productivity.
  • Experience in applying human resources practices, policies, and collective agreements regarding recruitment, training, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and project management principles.
  • Ability to manage emergency medical crises and security breaches.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interpret and verify legal documents and communicate with law enforcement, Crown representatives, families, and facility staff.
