Make a Meaningful Impact in Youth Rehabilitation

As a Youth Services Manager with the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services, you will have the opportunity to lead the implementation of rehabilitation programs and services for youth in a secure care and detention facility. Your role will be critical in ensuring that all programs, policies, and procedures reflect the Ministry's vision and comply with the standards of the Youth Justice Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff and coordinate operations to ensure the effective delivery of rehabilitation programs and services.
  • Contribute to the development of programs, policies, and procedures that align with the Ministry's vision and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, legislation, and security protocols.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership and management skills to manage staff and promote team morale and productivity.
  • Experience in applying human resources practices, policies, and collective agreements regarding recruitment, training, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and project management principles.
  • Ability to manage emergency medical crises and security breaches.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interpret and verify legal documents and communicate with law enforcement, Crown representatives, families, and facility staff.
