Project Logistics Client Services Specialist

Embark on a rewarding career with one of the leading logistics companies globally. Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a dedicated Project Logistics Client Services Specialist to enhance our Project Logistics team.

Your Role

In this position, you will manage the daily operations for industrial clients within the Project Logistics division. You will also coordinate operational activities for comprehensive EPC projects, project accounts, and unique cargo movements.

Your Responsibilities
  • Coordinate cargo bookings with carriers, internal service providers, and agents across all transport modes.
  • Collaborate with international counterparts as necessary.
  • Prepare all essential documentation to fulfill project and shipment criteria.
  • Track and communicate daily shipment updates to clients.
  • Maintain and update transport management tracking systems as needed.
  • Assist with invoicing and job costing as applicable.
  • Support safe project execution to meet client expectations, aligning with cost, schedule, and contractual obligations.
  • Work with the project team to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery, adhering to Kuehne+Nagel's high standards for Quality, Health and Safety, Security, and Environment (QSHE).
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare customer billing.
  • Ensure timely file closure for month-end financial reporting.
  • Guarantee project execution aligns with Kuehne+Nagel's policies, procedures, systems, and requirements as directed by the Project/Operations Manager.
  • Assist with customer RFIs/RFQs.
  • Generate individual quotes for budgetary and firm requests from designated clients.
  • Compile reports for management and clients (quote register and system dashboards).
  • Select and evaluate vendors in accordance with all QHSE vendor requirements and processes.
  • Investigate lost or misdirected shipments and manage potential damage claims.
  • Promote and offer transport insurance to clients when necessary.
  • Act as a super user for Kuehne+Nagel's transport management systems and provide training for new employees.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, ideally within freight forwarding or project logistics.
  • Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Skilled in Word, Excel (capable of maintaining complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint.
