Job Summary:

As a Logistics Project Specialist at DSV, you will play a key role in managing import/export shipments in collaboration with the customer service team. Your primary focus will be on oversized and/or cross-trade freight, ensuring operational excellence and high productivity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, verify, and monitor project freight documentation and enter information into our systems promptly and accurately.
  • Assist suppliers with export formalities such as customs clearance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track shipments online, provide timely updates to stakeholders, and update our systems.
  • Prepare and follow up with clients regarding compliance with international regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and ensure proper shipment follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance and proper management of shipment status and documentation throughout the shipping cycle.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, coworkers, and management.
  • Monitor and promptly respond to specific incoming communications.
  • Accurate and timely billing following established standards.
  • Provide assistance as needed to improve products and services.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Studies in supply chain logistics, international transport, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of industry experience.
  • Experience with all modes of transport (air/sea/trucking) and familiarity with handling oversized shipments.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CIFFA, an asset.
  • Project experience, an asset.
  • Dangerous Goods Certificate, an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening.
  • Service-oriented and capable of resolving client grievances.

Linguistic and Computer Proficiency:

  • French and English are the main languages for this role, other languages may be required in other locations.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CargoWise, an asset.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk working on a computer.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Regular working hours apply to this position; sometimes working beyond these hours may be necessary based on operational needs.
