Role Overview:
As the Store Manager, you will cultivate and maintain a high-performing team, foster an environment of exceptional customer service, and surpass sales objectives. You are an engaging, attentive, and motivating leader who excels in building relationships with both team members and customers, serving as a mentor, leader, and coach. Your leadership will create a culture of high performance and outstanding customer service by optimizing the effectiveness and productivity of a team of enthusiastic and dedicated individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement
• Champion a customer-centric culture throughout all roles.
• Ensure the leadership team is accountable for proactive floor management by assigning shifts, reviewing outcomes, and providing constructive feedback to uphold a premier customer experience.
• Offer continuous coaching and training to enhance individual selling techniques, behaviors, and processes. - Performance Analysis and Decision Making
• Oversee store payroll to ensure adherence to the monthly budget, accurately tracking and approving timesheets for all roles.
• Drive the store to consistently meet Total Monthly Income (TMI) Goals through effective foundational practices and performance-driven leadership.
• Supervise inventory management, special orders, receiving processes, layaway, and ensure high-quality standards for all merchandise. - Team Development and Performance Management
• Communicate daily sales targets to all team members and encourage proactive engagement through regular updates.
• Assess individual team member performance and develop improvement plans through regular performance discussions, utilizing customer feedback and evaluations.
• Build a robust talent pipeline, ensuring the store is consistently staffed to meet all staffing objectives and fill vacancies promptly.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Four years of prior experience in retail management within an apparel or specialty store setting.
Familiarity with computerized POS systems.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Full-time hours required, Sunday through Saturday, totaling 40 hours per week.
While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach for tools and objects; climb stairs; bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate effectively with customers. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and must possess the ability to see at various distances and use peripheral vision, as well as operate a computer and other electronic devices for extended periods.
