Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team at KBS Heavy Duty Mechanics Ltd. as a key member of our maintenance and repair team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty machinery and equipment. This includes assembling mechanical equipment, coaching and instructing apprentices, and supervising other workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in mechanical equipment operation and maintenance
  • Supervise other workers in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty machinery and equipment
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance and repair projects
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
  • Install machinery and equipment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. The work environment will be noisy and physically demanding.
