Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Projects, the Mechanical Project Coordinator is tasked with steering projects from initiation to completion. By collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, the Mechanical Project Coordinator seeks to comprehend customer requirements and objectives, designs leading-edge solutions, procures materials, plans the project timeline, and oversees on-site personnel to guarantee the successful execution of each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Collaborate with department heads, executives, and the sales team to consistently drive projects to completion;
    • Manage and update project performance forecasts;
    • Evaluate and report on project financials;
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, consultants, general contractors, and end users;
    • Oversee project financial outcomes;
    • Track project timelines, budgets, and progress reports;
    • Manage vendor relationships and secure necessary materials and equipment;
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project safety plans.
  • Consultation, Stakeholder Engagement, & Communication
    • Engage directly with clients to better understand their needs;
    • Develop and maintain vendor and partner relationships;
    • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to set and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle;
    • Assist clients in identifying innovative solutions that enhance efficiency or reduce costs in their operations;
    • Proactively seek new technologies and solutions to enhance both our clients' competitive edge and our own;
    • Coordinate with supply chain, sales, marketing, engineering, subcontractors, and finance;
    • Act as a leader within the company, promoting best practices and safety protocols.
  • Training & Development
    • Participate in the recruitment of new team members;
    • Assist in the training of both new and existing team members;
    • Engage in company training relevant to the role.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in effectively managing industrial projects valued at a minimum of $5 million;
  • Mechanical background, with relevant trade qualifications considered an asset;
  • Strong quick-thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Salary range: $80,000-$120,000 per year
