Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Projects, the Mechanical Project Supervisor is tasked with steering projects from initial concept through to completion. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to grasp customer requirements and objectives, crafting leading-edge solutions, sourcing necessary components, planning the project timeline, and overseeing site personnel to guarantee successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Collaborate with department heads, executives, and the sales team to drive project delivery;
    • Manage and update forecasts related to project performance;
    • Evaluate and report on project financials;
    • Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, consultants, general contractors, and end users;
    • Oversee financial performance of projects;
    • Track project timelines, budgets, and progress reports;
    • Manage vendor relationships and procure necessary materials and equipment;
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project safety plans.
  • Consultation, Stakeholder Engagement, & Communication
    • Engage directly with clients to fully understand their needs;
    • Develop and maintain vendor and partner relationships;
    • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to set and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle;
    • Assist clients in identifying innovative solutions that lead to improvements or cost savings in their operations;
    • Proactively seek new technologies and solutions to enhance both our clients' competitive edge and our own;
    • Coordinate with supply chain, sales, marketing, engineering, subcontractors, and finance;
    • Act as a leader within the company, promoting best practices and safety protocols.
  • Training & Development
    • Participate in the recruitment of new team members;
    • Assist in training both new and existing staff within the team;
    • Engage in company training relevant to the role.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in managing industrial projects valued at a minimum of $5 million;
  • Mechanical background with relevant trade qualifications considered an asset;
  • Strong quick-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
