About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at KBS Heavy Duty Mechanics Ltd. as a Machinery Installation and Maintenance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install mechanical equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the art of machinery installation and maintenance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts, utilizing welding equipment and power tools as needed.
  • Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up, utilizing machining tools and equipment.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Install machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in machinery installation and maintenance.
  • Physically demanding work environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
