Here’s how you can contribute: Collaborate with the Director of Regulatory Compliance to aid in the establishment and execution of Regulatory Compliance and Data Privacy Frameworks, ensuring enterprise-wide compliance with legal mandates. Design and uphold oversight mechanisms, including compliance evaluations, to monitor adherence to legal and regulatory standards, while identifying and addressing business risks through corrective action strategies. Track regulatory developments as part of our Legal Watch initiative, evaluating and monitoring proposed controls and implementation strategies. Assist in the creation and periodic review of enterprise policies, processes, procedures, and templates. Engage in significant project and change initiatives by advocating for compliance and privacy-by-design principles, assessing regulatory and data privacy risks, and endorsing Regulatory and Privacy Impact Assessments. Supervise the investigation of compliance and data privacy incidents, manage incident response protocols, and lead post-incident reviews, including corrective action planning. Work collaboratively to provide expert guidance on all regulatory and data privacy issues, reinforcing team accountability for compliance obligations. Deliver training and awareness sessions for team members, facilitating workshops to address business trends and evaluate emerging regulatory and data privacy risks. We seek candidates who possess: A post-secondary degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Compliance Manager or equivalent role. Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with Canadian privacy legislation, concepts, and best practices. A CIPP/C designation is preferred or a willingness to obtain it. Proven experience in initiating change initiatives with substantial cross-functional impact. Familiarity with risk management methodologies, including assessments, monitoring, control design, and effectiveness evaluation. A self-driven approach with outstanding research, analytical, and reporting skills. Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with a capacity to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey recommendations, influence decisions, and clarify complex privacy requirements. Availability to work onsite three days a week to support our hybrid work model.
