Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Iron Systems. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our end-users, ensuring seamless delivery of our services.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Support: Provide onsite and desk-side support services to end-users, troubleshooting PC-related problems and completing incidents and requests within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Hardware and Software Support: Build, configure, and troubleshoot PC and laptop hardware components, as well as install and troubleshoot software applications.
- Mobile Device Support: Support mobile devices, including iPads, iPhones, and Android devices, ensuring they are functioning optimally.
- Printer and Peripheral Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Smart Hands Support: Provide smart hands support for data center equipment, including troubleshooting and replacing defective components.
- Backup and Restoration: Perform end-user data backup and restoration as required.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Possess excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with end-users.
- Independent Thinking: Demonstrate independent and proactive thinking, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised.
- Relationship Building: Build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, both within the team and across the business.
- Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Call-Logging System: Have experience using a call-logging system.
- Windows and Office: Possess a good working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and related Office applications.
- Mobile Devices: Have knowledge of mobile devices, particularly Androids and iPhones.
- Hardware Platforms: Have working knowledge of current and legacy hardware platforms.
- Microsoft SCCM: Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM.
- DC Equipment: Excellent hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of DC equipment, including rack and stack of DC equipment and cables.
- CompTIA Certifications: Completion of CompTIA certifications, such as A+, Network+, etc.
- Microsoft Certifications: Completion (or near completion) of Microsoft certifications, such as MCP, MCITP, MCSE, etc.
