As a Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist at Trouw Nutrition, you will be instrumental in supporting our operations in the East region by ensuring alignment with regulatory mandates and client expectations. Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating pertinent regulations and standards, pinpointing deficiencies and opportunities for enhancement, and devising strategic plans to achieve compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

In your pivotal role, you will be essential in fulfilling our clients' regulatory demands and quality benchmarks. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining uniformity in communications regarding Canadian regulations across the organization.
  • Ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including food safety and CFR standards: 7, 9, and 21.
  • Assessing client quality criteria and executing corrective measures.
  • Conducting internal evaluations to verify compliance with regulations and client specifications.
  • Collaborating with various departments and suppliers to secure necessary documentation and address compliance gaps.
  • Assisting facilities in rectifying non-conformities identified during inspections or quality assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in food science, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or regulatory capacity.
  • Familiarity with regulations and quality standards pertaining to human or animal food.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • (Preferred) Experience in the animal nutrition and/or poultry sector.
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of import/export regulations with the United States.
