Position Overview

EV Regulatory Manager / Assistant Manager for Electric Vehicle Compliance

Role Responsibilities

You will be an essential member of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC) within the Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC is dedicated to promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by leading the regulation and implementation of EV charging infrastructure in Singapore.

Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with the team to formulate regulatory policies and frameworks that guarantee the safe and dependable provision of EV charging services.

Additionally, you will assist in the execution of regulations under the Electric Vehicles Charging Act (EVCA), which includes overseeing the licensing process for EV charging operators.

Your role will require close interaction with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with licensing conditions and to take necessary actions in cases of non-compliance.

You will contribute to achieving key objectives related to safety, operational efficiency, and fostering a business-friendly environment.


Candidate Profile

  • Possess tertiary qualifications in any field.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic setting; you may need to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibit strong writing and presentation capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Have experience in enforcement policy or operational roles, such as regulating licensees or managing the use of prohibited products.
  • Demonstrate the ability to translate regulatory mandates into operational requirements and propose effective resource allocation for enforcement.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a cross-functional team and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including private companies and government entities.
  • A genuine interest and foundational knowledge in electrical systems and EV charging technologies will be advantageous.
